Franz Abraham, geboren 1964, studierte Philosophie an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in München, absolvierte eine betriebswirtschaftliche Ausbildung und war eine der deutschen Formel-1-Hoffnungen in den 80ern, der Prä-Schumacher-Ära. 1987, nach einem schweren Verkehrsunfall, musste er seine Rennfahrer-Laufbahn ebenso aufgeben wie sein Studium.
Schon 1986 gründete der passionierte Klavierspieler und Musikenthusiast die Firma ART CONCERTS, die bis 2009 weltweit zu den innovativsten und erfolgreichsten Produktionsfirmen für hochwertige musikalische Großereignisse zählte.
Bereits als 28-Jähriger realisierte Franz Abraham das völlig neuartige „Art Projekt“ in München (1992), und Kopenhagen (1996) – „das vielleicht grandioseste und originellste Musikfestival der Jetztzeit“ (NDR). 1993 installierte Franz Abraham das bis 2000 alljährlich stattfindende Königsplatz Open Air, welches bald als europaweit größtes, profitabelstes und anspruchsvollstes Klassik Open Air galt.
Mit der CARMINA BURANA OPEN AIR OPERA wurde Franz Abraham 1995 zum Pionier der großen tourneefähigen Open-Air-Oper. Mit seinen Eigenproduktionen – 250 Shows mit fast 2 Millionen Besuchern in 25 Ländern – prägte er über anderthalb Jahrzehnte die Musiktheaterszene und die kommerzielle Veranstaltungsbranche.
2009, 15 Jahre nach der ersten Konzeption, verwirklichte Franz Abraham BEN HUR LIVE, laut der London Times „eine Jahrhundertproduktion“, mit der ein neues Genre im Live-Entertainment begründet wurde. Mehr als 140.000 Besucher sahen die Shows in nur wenigen Wochen. In London, München, Zürich und Hamburg brach BEN HUR LIVE Besucherrekorde.
Doch endete Franz Abrahams größter Erfolg tragisch: Trotz des überwältigenden Zuspruchs konnte für BEN HUR LIVE im Herbst 2009, auf dem Höhepunkt der Weltwirtschaftskrise, die notwendige Liquidität bis zum projektierten Turn Around im Februar 2010 nicht mehr bereit gestellt werden, so dass es zur Insolvenz von ART CONCERTS kam.
Auf fast eintausend Konzerten und Tourneen, die Franz Abraham veranstaltete, traten die größten Künstler ihrer Zeit auf, wie David Bowie, Lorin Maazel, Wynton Marsalis, Gidon Kremer, Lou Reed, Plácido Domingo, Dave Brubeck, Die drei Tenöre und The Rolling Stones.
Seit 2012 entwickelt Franz Abraham unternehmerische Konzepte zur Marktreife, u. a. das Filmprojekt „The Untold Story of Ben Hur Live“ zusammen mit Stewart Copeland und Tony Palmer, dessen Kernstück das Making of BEN HUR LIVE sein wird.
Darüber hinaus betreibt Franz Abraham aktuell die Finanzierung eines spektakulären TV- und Live-Ereignisses (Arbeitstitel: „Gold Fever“) sowie das eines Porsche Art Car Projekts für Le Mans Classic, womit er selbst auf die Rennstrecke, und damit zu seiner größten Leidenschaft, zurückkehren möchte.
Seit 25 Jahren wohnt Franz Abraham mit seiner Frau Gundel in Mörlbach bei Berg am Starnberger See, wo auch die gemeinsamen Töchter Zarah, Mia und Eva aufgewachsen sind. Das 2000 erworbene Anwesen „Schloss Mörlbach“ konnte nach den dramatischen Verlusten sämtlicher materieller Güter, aufgrund der persönlichen Bürgschaften für ART-CONCERTS, im Jahr 2017 zurückerworben werden – Grundlage bildete der enorme Vermietungserfolg eines Großteils von „Schloss Mörlbach“, für das Franz Abraham 2012 ein neuartiges Hotel-und Co-Living-Konzept entwickelte.
Franz Abraham, katholischer Christ, engagiert sich für das Existenzrecht Israels und das Erbe des christlich-jüdischen Abendlands.

Franz Abraham, born in 1964, studied philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, completed a business management training programme and was one of the German Formula 1 hopefuls in the 1980s, the pre-Schumacher era. In 1987, after a serious road accident, he had to give up his racing career as well as his studies.
In 1986, the passionate piano player and music enthusiast founded ART CONCERTS, which until 2009 was one of the world's most innovative and successful production companies for high-quality major musical events.
At the age of 28, Franz Abraham realised the completely new ‘Art Project’ in Munich (1992) and Copenhagen (1996) - ‘perhaps the most grandiose and original music festival of our time’ (NDR). In 1993, Franz Abraham established the Königsplatz Open Air, which took place annually until 2000 and was soon regarded as Europe's largest, most profitable and most ambitious classical open air festival.
With the CARMINA BURANA OPEN AIR OPERA in 1995, Franz Abraham became a pioneer of the large touring open-air opera. With his own productions - 250 shows with almost 2 million visitors in 25 countries - he shaped the music theatre scene and the commercial event industry for over a decade and a half.
In 2009, 15 years after the first conception, Franz Abraham realised BEN HUR LIVE, according to the London Times ‘a production of the century’, which established a new genre in live entertainment. More than 140,000 people saw the shows in just a few weeks. BEN HUR LIVE broke attendance records in London, Munich, Zurich and Hamburg.
However, Franz Abraham's greatest success ended tragically: despite the overwhelming popularity, the necessary liquidity could no longer be provided for BEN HUR LIVE in autumn 2009, at the height of the global economic crisis, until the planned turnaround in February 2010, resulting in the insolvency of ART CONCERTS.
At almost a thousand concerts and tours organised by Franz Abraham, the greatest artists of their time performed, such as David Bowie, Lorin Maazel, Wynton Marsalis, Gidon Kremer, Lou Reed, Plácido Domingo, Dave Brubeck, The Three Tenors and The Rolling Stones.
Since 2012, Franz Abraham has been developing entrepreneurial concepts to market maturity, including the film project ‘The Untold Story of Ben Hur Live’ together with Stewart Copeland and Tony Palmer, the centrepiece of which will be the making of BEN HUR LIVE.
In addition, Franz Abraham is currently financing a spectacular TV and live event (working title: ‘Gold Fever’) as well as a Porsche Art Car project for Le Mans Classic, with which he would like to return to the race track himself, and thus to his greatest passion.
Franz Abraham has lived with his wife Gundel in Mörlbach near Berg on Lake Starnberg for 25 years, where their daughters Zarah, Mia and Eva also grew up. After the dramatic loss of all material assets in 2013, the ‘Schloss Mörlbach’ estate, which was acquired in 2000, was repurchased by fair investors in 2017 thanks to the personal guarantees for ART CONCERTS - the basis for this was the enormous rental success of a large part of ‘Schloss Mörlbach’, for which Franz Abraham developed a new type of hotel and co-living concept in 2012.
